Technical Director
Permanent Position

Full time position

We are looking for a Technical Director to lead the department and provide technical support at the highest standard for a busy programme of shows on three stages; Sadler’s Wells Theatre, the Lilian Baylis Studio, and the Peacock Theatre.

Sadler’s Wells is a world-leading dance house – a place where artists come together to create dance and where people of all ages and from all walks of life come to experience dance. At the heart of Sadler’s Wells is a spirit of creative innovation and artistic collaboration. This is where dance and choreography meet art, design, music and theatre.

The Technical Director will be required to provide support for offsite projects and Sadler’s Wells own touring productions. You will also be closely involved in the development and planning for our new theatre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which will be opening to the public in 2022.              

You must have excellent technical skills, with an understanding of new stage technologies and demonstrable experience in large scale theatre operations. You must also have a proven track record in technical management within major receiving, producing, or touring organisation/venue.
